This job will appeal to software engineers looking for rewarding technical challenges. We are recruiting for a trusted leader in facilitating the discovery of relevant knowledge using complex Machine Learning and NLP techniques. They respect user privacy so instead of tracking user behaviour the ads they show are contextually relevant to what the user is already engaging with.
They are looking for two Java developers who genuinely believe in code craftsmanship and have an interest in Machine Learning. You will be given a lot of autonomy to choose your own tools and will work on solving complex challenges around scalability and performance for their low-latency, real-time platform. You’ll be given the opportunity to contribute to architectural design decisions and strategic technical decisions too.

Senior Java Developers 60k – 85k
A world-renowned payments provider are currently looking for two developers – one Senior and one Principle developer -to help scale a new high-volume, low-latency transactional product whilst delivering new features.
The team test-drive their code and embrace an agile and CD environment with a DevOps culture. The team are agnostic with their stack providing it runs on the JVM and the tools chosen are the best fit for the job! To begin with you’ll predominantly work with Java 8, AngularJS, REST, AWS and there is scope for using Scala for less critical components.
They offer competitive salaries, a 15% bonus, extensive benefits, 35-hour working week, flexible working practices (e.g. 1 remote day per week), training budgets and they run monthly demo / ‘Ship it’ days.

Technical Team Lead £60-80k (permanent) + Share Options programme
Here’s a great opportunity for anyone with some leadership experience and that is looking to develop these skills further with a view to maybe becoming a CTO in the future.
The employer develops real-time predictive maintenance software for fault monitoring and alerting on any assets and infrastructure – currently focused on small and large business in property and housing associations. Their software utilises technologies from the fields of machine learning and data science to monitor data from companies’ vital equipment and environments, learning their normal behaviour patterns with the view of providing advanced warning of future failures thereby minimising potential losses.
They are looking to hire a hands on senior member of the team, ideally someone who has had some technical leadership experience. The main responsibility will be leading the 6 person technical team: encouraging liaison between all technical staff and the wider business, championing best practices (TDD, Pairing, clean coding methods), prioritising technical work whilst also carry out hands on software development in Java8, Scala, Akka, code reviews, releases and testing.
One final thing to mention – this role has a REMOTE working opportunity with bi-weekly travel to London).
