They love to follow a test-driven approach and aim to pair programme the majority of the time. They genuinely want their developers to learn on-the-job and encourage developers to make the most of their research days and “Gold Cards”, which can be used to work on whatever you choose, this may be a new working practice, technology/tool and even new language. They understand how quickly tech can change and want to stay on the bleeding edge of technology. Similarly, they also offer generous training budgets and allow 3 days per year to attend conferences.

You will work on systems that reach over 1 billion people and will face all the technical challenges that come with this around scalability, low latency, and high throughput. A more detailed list of their tech stack is as follows: Java 8, Dropwizard, ReactJS, Redux, Webpack, AWS, Terraform, CentOS, Terraform, Nagios, Graphite/Grafana, Postgres, Redis, Cassandra, Flume, Tomcat, Jetty, Junit, Mockito, Scalacheck, Selenium, Maven, Spring, Hibernate, Guice, Jackson, Jersey, Play/Scala, HTML5, Advanced vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)

The company have revolutionised the video advertising space, through using emotional data to target ads more effectively. They have now moved on from their start-up status and are in the scale-up phase as they’re looking to recruit heavily across multiple offices from across the globe.

They have an amazing culture in place which promotes self-improvement and the entire company are very collaborative, with regular meetups, tech talks and workshops held at their office. The company believe in the value of diversity and inclusion, which is a huge influence in their growth and culture as a whole.

While they are a very passionate team they also appreciate the value of having a good work-life balance and offer their employees the freedom to work from home (once or twice a week) and offer the chance to work from their others offices in locations like New York, Tokyo and Singapore (amongst others). They have a 35 hour working week and core working hours of 10am-4.30pm, so you will be able to maintain a happy private life outside of work.
