They are hiring agile software engineers with a passion for good clean code to work in an agile/XP environment. You would need to be comfortable with pair programming and experience in TDD and continuous integration/delivery is preferred, or at least a desire to learn these things.

You will do a mixture of Greenfield development work and maintenance of the current systems. For the Greenfield side of the work, you will use a mixture of Java 8 and Java 11 and the team are gradually looking to implement Kotlin for a more functional approach, so you will have the chance to learn this on-the-job. You will work on a large scale, distributed web application that handles millions of users and thus will solve interesting challenges around scalability and performance. You will work with both internal and external APIs and also get the chance to contribute across the full stack. Their front end is written in React and they do encourage all of their developers to get involved in this for around 20-30% of their time.
