Role:
Our Client are an award winning Fintech start-up – they specialize in predictive analytics software underpinned by machine learning algorithms. Their platform allows businesses to manage key areas of their enterprise including customer retention, driving lending decisions, new business development, process optimization and risk management.

You would join a small but expanding, bright team working on the new front-end development, design and architecture of their data analytics platform. This would involve building elegant webservices, working with large amounts of performant data over the web and working on different ways to elegantly visualise and display data. You’d work with technologies such as AngularJS (1.5), Angular2, D3js, ES6, Typescript, NodeJS, Grunt, automation and integration testing tools and building tools (webpack etc). This technology is all underpinned by an asynchronous distributed architecture with their own unique, highly predictive machine learning algorithms. It’s also great to know that not all of the technology stack has been chosen, they want to use the best tool for the job and you would have some input into how to improve things using modern available technologies. The CTO isn’t necessarily looking for this person to be an expert in a particular framework or library – he feels a good developer will be able to pick these up on the job and suggest new ways of working.

Requirements:
– You have at least four years of working experience in the field of development, especially in JavaScript development
– Strong coding ability in OO JavaScript (design patterns and idioms)

You have profound or very good knowledge at some of the following areas:
– Libraries and frameworks, e.g. AngularJS or React, Backbone, NodeJS, SASS/LESS, Bootstrap
– RxJS, ES6, CommonJS, RequireJS, SystemJS or Webpack
– Experience with Unit, integration or automation testing tools such as Karma, Mocha, Protractor, Selenium, etc.
– Development tools and task runners, e.g. Bower, Grunt or Gulp
– An interest in Data Visualisation – D3js or similar
– Backend/Fullstack Development – Java8/NodeJS
