PROJECT CHALLENGES

Looking to hire a remote hands on member of the team, someone that will enjoy working on complex Java and Scala development associated with machine learning models. The main responsibility will be the hands on development of new features of their core monitoring product and the improvement of machine learning algorithms and models. You’ll need to encouraging liaison between all technical staff and the wider business, follow best practices (TDD, Pairing, clean coding methods) and helping to prioritise technical work. It’s a broad role exposing you to areas such as DevOps, Front end development in ReactJS, Akka Streaming, Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering. The Tech Lead is not looking for the finished artile, he’d like a self starter – someone curious about new technologies and how they can help solve development challenges.

Founded in 2015, they’re a startup delivering an anomaly detection and predictive maintenance software service for real-time fault monitoring & alerting on any assets and infrastructure. Their software utilises technologies from the fields of machine learning and data science to monitor data from companies’ vital equipment & environments, learning their normal behaviour patterns with the view of providing advanced warning of future failures, minimising potential losses from disasters.
