I am currently recruiting for a market leader in highly secure data-partnership systems for sensitive data, initially founded in 2003 through an initiative at a top London University. They are a cloud based, SaaS provider for government, blue chip organisations and local authorities. Their work helps authorities store data securely for thousands of vulnerable people across the country.
They are looking to hire an Agile Technical Architect with a background in hands on Java development – you may even be a senior developer looking to make the move to an architect role. You will lead the design and architecture of new elements of their delivery platform, support the stability and modernisation of the existing platform and ensure the reliability and scalability of the platform for national delivery. You’d also have responsibilities over the future architecture and technology roadmap. They require someone from a development background to help facilitate technical problem solving discussions within the technical team, conduct occasional code reviews, advise technical direction and help implement coding standards. You’d also guide the onsite and offshore development teams on solutions and technologies, utilising agile, scrum and TDD methods. The technical stack consists of Java8, microservices, AWS, Restful web services and Spring.
What would make you stand out:
– Experience around architecting existing systems for scalability and modernisation
– Java Development background
– Experience working with distributed technical teams
– Pro Agile, advocator of clean coding methods
